FEES & REFERRALS

Dark Blue Shapes

The standard fee for a 50-minute session is $240. The out-of-pocket expenses will vary depending on the type of referral you use.

Medicare: Medicare rebates amount to $145.25 per session, leaving an out-of-pocket expense of $94.75 per session, for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. If you are seeking a Medicare referral, please speak with your GP to organise a Mental Health Care Plan.

DVA: Currently serving ADF members or Veterans with a DVA White or Gold Card can access treatment via seeking a referral from their GP. There are no out-of-pocket expenses for this referral.

Private Health: The rebates you are able to claim through Private Health will depend on your individual health fund and your own level of cover. Please enquire with your fund.

NDIS: Psychology sessions are available for NDIS clients who are self-managed or plan-managed. In line with the current NDIS price guide, the standard session fee is $232.99 per hour.

No referral: If you do not have a referral or would prefer not to use one, that’s ok; you do not require one to have treatment. However, you will not be able to claim the relevant rebates for the session costs without a valid referral.

Cancellation Fees. Note that a cancellation fee will apply if no prior notice is given within 24 hours of a scheduled appointment. Cancellation fees will amount to the full fee of the service. Note that Medicare rebates, DVA, and private health funds do not cover cancellation fees.

Note. If there are financial circumstances that arise which constitute a barrier to your ongoing treatment, Patrick is open to discussing a lower fee. There is a ‘sliding scale’ fee structure that you may be eligible for and this can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
